Facilitation, coaching, and instructional design that provokes learning to increase:

  • Sales Effectiveness
  • Management and Leadership Effectiveness
  • Facilitation and Presentation Skills that engage audiences (face-to-face and virtually)

Consulting Experience
My experience consulting, designing, coaching, and facilitating varied audience levels, from front-line to senior team, in organizations ranging from small start-ups to global firms makes me your team member for targeted meetings, classroom sessions, and events.

  • Do you need to equip your sales teams to actually sell faster?
  • Are your leaders lacking the right stuff to drive performance?
  • Are your facilitators (or are you) struggling to get people to think and transform?

What working with me will mean for you
You will have a partner who combines 20 plus years of experience in learning theory with a respect of the 'all-too-classic' business dynamics you are experiencing to help in delivering pragmatic solutions to your business challenges.  My unique brand of 'Blinding Flash' facilitation and consulting experience span a wide-range of industries including professional services, pharmaceuticals, financial services, retail, and consumer products.  With a client list that includes American Express, Xerox, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Disney, AT&T, Deloitte & Touche, AOL, L’Oreal Paris, and MetLife, you'll be in good company.

For American Express, I helped to increase efficiencies in learning module development, significantly reducing cycle time (from months to weeks) and costs for the client.  My work contributed to American Express’ receipt of the first Gold Chairman’s Award for Quality given to a learning project.

With my contribution as lead designer on the design, development, and implementation of a multi-year firm-wide curriculum, Deloitte & Touche was acknowledged by the American Society for Training and Development for Organizational Excellence in Practice.

Education and Interests
Formally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in French, with a concentration in communication, from Assumption College. (Nothing opens up a student's eyes like a year in Paris!)  However, my 'true' education has, like for many of us, come from my work.  Years of global projects, complex teams, and client business challenges.  It's that simple.

Recently, I have begun exploring the world of Neuroscience to augment and strengthen my work, helping me to get people to open up when that's the last thing the brain actually wants to do.  Don't get me started on the fact that you get a manual for a computer or a coffee maker, but not a manual for your brain...the thing guiding us through every moment of life.  It is simply unforgivable that such a manual isn't in hand for us.  I can help with that.  The  exploration of neuroscience has provided me with an approach to get your people to change 'great ideas' into actual application...and results!

Where You'll Find Me
Physically, I balance my time between The Berkshires region of bucolic Western Massachusetts and the urban Midtown district of Miami.  I find that this sharing of time and location enables me to offer the crucial levels of calm insight, thoughtfulness, and openness that benefit clients.  However, my work takes me everywhere.  My office is your office.

Being independent allows me to explore my personal passion of acting.  I have had the opportunity over the past years to be part of numerous theatrical productions, and I love every minute of it.  While not intentional in the beginning, the link between performance and learning consulting has become an undeniable differentiator for me.  After all, it takes a performer's preparation and stamina to get an audience of adults to learn.  Think of it, metaphorically, like hosting a multi-day dinner party for a large group, and you get the idea.  While daunting, I've figured out how to host that party better than most.  My experience on the stage also enables me to improv in a class with participants, providing organic, in-the-moment practice and coaching at times when it will best benefit the learner and the learning.  When an audience 'says' they know what to do, my ability to improv the situation with them enables them to test their approach live, and know if it will work.
